Dana White has made his stance on former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou clear. The UFC President recently revealed that he has no intentions of ever dealing with the free agent again.
In January, it was announced that Ngannou was released from the UFC following negotiations that had been ongoing for years. White has now confirmed that he is not interested in re-opening negotiations with Ngannou for any future fights.
Currently, Ngannou is focusing his attention on pursuing a big boxing match with the likes of Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder. He previously stated that a return to MMA was always part of his plan, but it looks like his return won’t be with the UFC.
So who will be facing the winner of the upcoming Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane fight at UFC 285? Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has been told he will be next in line, but the UFC has yet to officially confirm this.
No matter who ends up facing the champion, one thing is certain – Francis Ngannou won’t be getting a chance to reclaim his UFC heavyweight title. Dana White has made it clear that there will be no future dealings with the former champion.
