Step into the captivating world of Pedro Kayat, a visionary music producer and audio engineer hailing from Brazil. From the humble beginnings of an old piano in Rio de Janeiro to working with some of the biggest names in the industry at major US record labels.

Kayat’s journey is a testament to the power of talent, dedication, and calculated risk-taking. Join us as we delve into his remarkable story and discover how he is leaving an indelible mark on the music scene.

By stepping outside his comfort zone, he has opened doors to experiences and connections he never could have imagined.

This fearless approach has propelled him to new heights, allowing him to pursue his passion for making music with unwavering determination.

Kayat’s love affair with music began at a young age, thanks to his parents’ support and a cherished gift — a humble old piano. As a child, he would mesmerize himself by playing the theme songs of his favorite cartoons by ear. At just seven years old, he received his first keyboard, a gift from his grandfather, and embarked on formal piano lessons. However, it was when he received an electric guitar for Christmas that his musical destiny truly took hold.

The turning point in Kayat’s life came when he stepped foot into a recording studio for the first time. Guided by the legendary bass player Arthur Maia, Pedro and his father co-wrote a song titled “Sozinho,” which they had the opportunity to produce and record in Maia’s studio.

It was in this transformative moment that Kayat discovered his true passion for music production. The magic of creating something from thin air felt like a superpower, and he knew he had found his calling. Driven by his newfound passion, Kayat pursued his dreams relentlessly. He enrolled at Berklee College of Music in the United States, where he got his degree in Music production and engineering, and met talented artists who shared his aspirations. Collaborating with these individuals allowed him to develop his musicality and production skills, paving the way for incredible opportunities.

Kayat’s journey led him to work in renowned studios in New York, including Electric Lady and Penthouse Studios, where he had the privilege of engineering for acclaimed artists such as Jorge Aragão, Beanie Sigel, and Freeway. Each experience served as a stepping stone towards his ultimate goal of making a lasting impact in the music industry.
