How to Utilize Your Fans to Keep Your In-Store Display in Tip-Top Shape

In today’s digital age, it’s no surprise that many businesses are turning to their fans for help. YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, recently sought assistance from his 18.9 million Twitter followers to keep his chocolate brand Feastables in tip-top shape at Walmart stores across the country.

With a tweet posted on March 3, MrBeast asked his fans to assist him in “cleaning up the presentation” of the Feastables line of snacks, which was first launched in January 2022. The call to action has since garnered more than 37 million views and 129,000 likes, inspiring numerous MrBeast fans to take action.

While some fans have jumped on board, others have taken issue with MrBeast’s request, noting that he’s essentially “grifting labor out of ‘fans’” — an argument that MrBeast has since addressed by announcing he’ll be donating $100,000 to charity in thankfulness of his fans’ help.

So, how can businesses utilize their fans to keep their in-store display in tip-top shape? Here are a few tips:

    1. Ask for help

Just like MrBeast, businesses can reach out to their fans and ask them to help spruce up the presentation of their products in stores. This could be as simple as asking them to help rearrange products on shelves or make sure products are displayed correctly.

    2. Offer Incentives

Offering incentives for fans’ help is a great way to encourage them to get involved. This could be anything from free products to discounts on future purchases. Businesses can also offer incentives like MrBeast did, such as donating to charity in return for their help.

    3. Foster a Sense of Community

Encouraging fans to get involved in a collaborative way is key when it comes to keeping your in-store display in tip-top shape. Businesses should look for ways to foster a sense of community around their product, such as creating a hashtag or a contest. This will motivate fans to help out, while also giving them the chance to show off their creativity and engage with one another.

By utilizing their fans to help keep their in-store display in tip-top shape, businesses can ensure that their product stands out from the competition and is properly showcased in stores. Not only will this help increase sales, but it will also create a sense of community and engagement with fans.
