Odell Beckham Jr.’s private workout in Arizona on Friday had twelve teams in attendance, but the Dallas Cowboys were not one of them.
CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reported that the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens were all present. The New York Jets were added to the list later.
Beckham missed the entire 2022 season after tearing his ACL during Super Bowl LVI in February 2022. He underwent surgery shortly after.
The receiver had visited the Cowboys, Giants, and Bills back in December of 2022, but declined to work out in any of those locations. So far, he has remained a free agent since becoming one in March of 2022.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated last week that his team still has an interest in signing Beckham. This private workout may have been a chance for them to get a closer look at Beckham’s progress in his recovery, but it appears they missed the opportunity.
It is still possible for the Cowboys to sign Beckham, however, as he remains a free agent and eligible to sign with any team at any time. It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys make a move in the upcoming weeks.
