Emily Ratajkowski is no stranger to the spotlight when it comes to her love life. From her marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard and her brief relationship with comedian Pete Davidson, to her rumored liaisons with artist Jack Greer, the actress, model and entrepreneur has been the subject of much speculation in the past few years. Now, it looks like Ratajkowski may be looking for a new “situationship” based on a recent TikTok post.
In a TikTok posted on February 19th, the “My Body” author asked, “What should you do when a situationship ends?” She followed it up with, “Start another one.” The post, which has since gone viral, has been met with a lot of support and encouragement from her followers.
So, what is a “situationship?” According to psychologist Jonathan Alpert, it is “that space between a committed relationship and something that is more than a friendship.” Unlike a friends with benefits or a relationship, there isn’t consensus on what it is.
Ratajkowski, who split from Bear-McClard in 2022, has also been linked to Davidson and Greer. Her latest post seems to indicate that she’s ready to explore a new romantic connection and possibly start another situationship.
The actress is no stranger to using social media to speak out on issues such as sexism and misogyny. In a September 2022 TikTok, she discussed how patriarchal systems are in play in her own dating life. She argued that too often the focus is on who is “going to get her,” rather than on the reciprocal mutual relationship that should foster love.
It remains to be seen who Ratajkowski’s new romantic partner will be, or even if she’s looking for one at all. Whatever the case may be, we wish her all the best in her search for love.
